Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She has a Bachelor's degree in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in film, theater, as well as television. Her acting journey began with theater, and was later featured in several TV shows and independent as well as mainstream films. She became famous as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she was praised by critics and received numerous nominations and awards including the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She started her career acting in 1995 as Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to her film career the most recognizable roles she has played include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. She is also well-known for her role on ABC's crime-drama High Incident.
