Kat Dennings, born Katherine Victoria Litwack on June 13th 1986, in Bryn Mawr Pennsylvania was the firstborn child of Ellen and Gerald Dennings. Ellen Dennings was her mom and a speech therapist, as Gerald was her father, and a college professor. Dennings is youngest of five and grew up in the family of a Jewish family. Dennings was homeschooled and only short time in traditional school. Homeschooling was the best option for her as she had the ambition to become an actor as early as her age. Dennings completed high school by the time she reached fourteen. Already, she was performing in commercials by the age of nine. She moved to Los Angeles with her family following high school in order to study acting. She began auditioning under the name of Kat Dennings. Kat Dennings made her acting debut following her move to LA when she appeared in HBO's "Sex and the City" in 2000. Kat Dennings starred in "Sex and City" in HBO.
