
Kristen Anne Bell (born July 18th, 1980)[1] is an American actor and singer from the United States. She began her acting career at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York. At the time, she starred in stage productions. The musical comedy The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was her Broadway debut. The Crucible revival came out in the year following. She was later in the action thriller film Spartan (2004) and received applause for her performance on the television drama film Gracie's Choice (2004).Her first major role was that of the title character in the teen noir drama TV series Veronica Mars (2004-2007), receiving praise from critics and a Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV for her performance. The role that she was playing in the 2014 film was changed and it was revived for the 2019. Bell starred from 2007 to 2008 in the role of Elle Bishop in Heroes, an action-packed superhero series. Bell played the narrator of Heroes in the drama for teenagers Gossip Girl, reprising the role in the sequel to 2021. Bell also played the character as Jeannie van den Hooven, the lead female character from Showtime's comedy series House of Lies. She starred as Eleanor Shellstrop in the NBC comedy series The Good Place. This part was nominated for an Golden Globe Award. Bell was also the character of Eleanor Shellstrop on the streaming show The Woman in the Home across the street from the Girl in the Window.
